The Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition, BOFIT, monitors and analyses economic developments, economic policy (monetary, fiscal and foreign exchange policy) and the progress in economic reforms in Russia and China. Important themes include the integration of Russia and China with and their impact on the European Union and the world economy in general. In order to understand economic developments in Russia and China, it is also important to monitor developments in their mutual economic relations.
