This collection of rules comprises the key agreements, regulations and guidelines in respect of the Bank of Finland's monetary policy counterparties and customers. The Bank of Finland may issue additional rules and guidelines that are not included in this collection.
The collection is divided into five parts: monetary policy, TARGET2-Suomen Pankki, collateral, monetary and banking statistics, and miscellaneous. At the beginning of each part there are models of related agreements between the Bank of Finland and credit institutions. The Bank of Finland's rules pertaining to each part are presented after the agreements. In addition, the collection includes some Regulations issued by the European Union and the European Central Bank.1)
The Bank of Finland has the right to change its rules in the manner prescribed in agreements concluded between the Bank of Finland and its counterparties and account holders. The changes are published by updating the rules in this collection. To facilitate the updating process, the pages are serially numbered according to the third subheading, eg (1.2.2)-1. The date that revised rules enter into force is given in the lower left corner of each page, or alternatively the changed passages in the rules will be marked by adding the date of amendment in brackets after the passage concerned. In case of a change, the Bank of Finland will merely issue the revised versions of the items in question. The old item will be rescinded automatically when the revised version enters into force. The dates of entry into force of the Regulations issued by the European Union and the ECB are indicated separately in each Regulation.
