Does the Bank of Finland exchange foreign currency?

The Bank of Finland does not exchange foreign currency. The Bank's Customer Service Office in Helsinki only converts markka banknotes and coins into euro until 29 February 2012. Foreign currency can be exchanged at bureaux de change or banks.

Where can I exchange former national currencies of euro area countries for euro?

Each euro area central bank accepts former national banknotes and coins of its own country, according to a specific time limit. The Bank of Finland, for instance, accepts markka banknotes and coins until 29 February 2012.
