Introduction

Jarkko Kivistö is an economist in the Forecasting unit of the Bank of Finland’s Monetary Policy and Research Department, where his main area of responsibility involves monitoring costs and prices in Finland and preparing the short-term inflation forecast.

Kivistö completed his Master’s degree in Social Sciences at the University of Helsinki in 1991, where he majored in Economics. He has previously worked in statistical and data management tasks at the Bank of Finland (since 1991) and in the Directorate General Statistics (DG-S) of the European Central Bank (1999–2003).
