Dr Timo Korkeamäki (PhD, University of South Carolina, Columbia, 2001), Professor of Finance at the Hanken School of Economics, has been appointed Research Fellow at the Bank of Finland. The two-year contract between the Bank of Finland and Professor Korkeamäki entered into force on 1 September 2009. Professor Korkeamäki's contract with the Bank of Finland has been extended a further two years, from 1 September 2011.
The research cooperation between the Bank of Finland and Professor Korkeamäki is designed to promote the Bank’s research activities, with special emphasis on financial markets. In addition to his own research and publication activities and possible joint projects, professor Korkeamäki will boost the Bank’s research activities by acting as research supervisor.
