Introduction

Dr Mäki-Fränti is currently an economist in the Forecasting unit of the Bank of Finland’s Monetary Policy and Research Department, where his responsibilities include forecasting and monitoring the Finnish economy and analysing economic policy issues.

Petri Mäki-Fränti completed his doctorate in Business Administration at the University of Tampere in 2003. Prior to joining the Bank of Finland in 2011, Dr Mäki-Fränti worked in various research and teaching roles at the University of Tampere and as an economist with Pellervo Economic Research PTT.
