Pirkko Pohjoisaho-Aarti, Msc (Econ), eMBA, is Head of Administration at the Bank of Finland. The Administration Department is responsible for human resource management, financial administration and procurement, risk control and the provision of IT services, security and property services, language and publication services and other internal services to the Bank of Finland and the Financial Supervisory Authority.
She was formerly Deputy Director and member of the Management Group of the Financial Supervision Authority with responsibility for drafting financial reporting regulations for supervised entities, IT, communications and action planning. In her capacity as Deputy Director General of FIN-FSA, Pirkko Pohjoisaho-Aarti was also deputy member of the board of directors of the Insurance Supervisory Authority. Before this, she was head of the Bank of Finland's Development Unit, Head of Division at the Market Operations and Foreign Currency departments and held various expert positions at the Bank of Finland. Pirkko Pohjoisaho-Aarti joined the Bank of Finland in 1974.
