Introduction

Kimmo Virolainen, DSc (Econ.) is Head of Financial Stability and Statistics at the Bank of Finland. He has previously been employed as Head of Division and Economist in the Financial Markets department. Kimmo Virolainen joined the Bank of Finland in 1994. He defended his dissertation at the Helsinki School of Economics in 1998. His doctoral thesis examined tax incentives and corporate borrowing.
