The Bank of Finland ranks high according to surveys on employer attractiveness. In spring 2013, the Bank ranked 8th in the Universum Finnish Student Survey, and in autumn 2012, it ranked 14th in a survey of young professionals.

The Bank of Finland employs about 400 persons and the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA), which operates in connection with the Bank of Finland, has about 210 employees. FIN-FSA makes independent decisions in its supervisory work. Wages and salaries and other terms of employment are agreed locally at the Bank of Finland. FIN-FSA's employees are each under a contract of employment with the Bank of Finland and they are governed by the Bank of Finland's collective civil service agreements.
The Bank of Finland’s main offices are located in the Helsinki city centre. Maintenance of currency supply, one of the Bank’s official tasks, is handled at its regional offices in Vantaa and Oulu.
