News from the Bank of Finland is generally available in Finnish, Swedish and English. You can also order press releases, speeches, statements and other news in the form of real-time RSS news feeds to your own Internet browser.
The Bank's communications service is available to journalists and the general public alike. The Bank issues press releases and other current information by email to those journalists who do not use the RSS news feed. The quickest way for us to handle your enquiries, requests to be put on the distribution list and any other matters is for you to call us on +358 10 831 2626. You can also contact us using our online feedback form or by emailing us at info(at)bof.fi.
Those interested in central banking and the history of money are welcome to visit the Bank of Finland Museum, located at Snellmaninkatu 2 in Helsinki. The museum is open to private individuals or groups on Tuesdays–Fridays from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm and on Saturdays–Sundays from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. Admission is free of charge, guided tours should be booked in advance.
The Bank also arranges lectures and presentations for groups, particularly of students, either at the Museum or in the Bank's facilities. For further infromation, please see section 'Visits'.
The Bank of Finland publishes part of the communications material of the European Central Bank (ECB). The opening speech given by the ECB before the press conference following the Governing Council meetings can be found under ECB speeches, in Finnish and Swedish. The English language version of the speech, along with all the ECB's press releases, is available on the ECB's own website.
