Research evaluation

External evaluation of the Bank of Finland's research activity

A panel of internationally renowned professors of economics, commissioned to appraise the Bank of Finland's research and analysis activities over the past five years, has completed its evaluation. Equivalent reviews were undertaken in 1999 and 2004.

The report covers both the scientific quality of the research and its importance from the point of view of the Bank's objectives. The report also contains recommendations on how research activity in the future could be further developed.

The three panel members were:

Professor Anil Kashyap, University of Chicago, Booth School of Business
Professor Matti Pohjola, Helsinki School of Economics
Professor Volker Wieland, Goethe University of Frankfurt
