On 1–2 November, the Research Unit and CEPR (Centre for Economic Policy Research) will jointly host an international conference for the eighth time. The topic will be ‘Expectations and Business Cycle Dynamics’. The programme is available on the conference site.

The Russian and Chinese economies have grown rapidly in recent years. At the same time, their importance for the global economy has increased and they have come to have greater impact on international economic activity. This process and its consequences will be discussed at a research seminar hosted by the Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT) on 11 to 12 December 2007. The programme will be updated on the conference site.

The presentations for the recent conference ‘Financial Markets, Innovation and Growth’, are available on the conference site. The conference was hosted jointly by the Research Unit of the Bank of Finland and SUERF (Société Universitaire Européenne de Recherches Financières).
