A review of the European Central Bank’s monetary policy strategy is under way. The objective is to ensure that monetary policy meets in the best possible way the challenges of a changing world now and in the future. As part of the strategy review, euro area central banks will hold listening events to seek the views of civil society and other central bank stakeholders. The Bank of Finland’s listening events were launched on 2 November and the first event can be viewed at the address: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sl-Q3mqnr0
Governor of the Bank of Finland Olli Rehn will review the current status of the listening events and the progress of the strategy review at a press conference on Friday, 13 November 2020 at 10.30 am. Media representatives can follow the event at the Bank of Finland Museum (Snellmaninkatu 2) or as a webcast via this link: https://www.mediaserver.fi/live/bof (Note: Open the link in a browser other than Internet Explorer).
Governor Rehn will also present an update, to be published on the same day, on the situation and outlook for the Finnish economy.
