Ele Alenius, former Member of the Board of the Bank of Finland, died on 19 November 2022. He was born on 5 June 1925.
Ele Alenius was a Member of the Board of the Bank of Finland from 1977 to 1992. During his long career, he worked in several important positions, including second Minister of Finance. He held the degree of Doctor of Political Science.
The Bank of Finland is deeply saddened by the passing of its long-time Board Member and will fly its flags at half-mast on 22 November 2022.
