Di Gong is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing. He is primarily interested in banking and financial intermediation. His work makes attempt to improve our understanding and the policy-making on capital, liquidity and macroprudential regulation over the banking system. His work has been presented at regulatory authorities and financial supervisors such as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Bank of England (BoE), De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), Asian Development Bank, and major professional conferences such as the CEPR conference, European Finance Association meeting (EFA), Financial Intermediation Research Society meeting (FIRS), Econometric Society World Congress (ESWC), and China International Conference of Finance (CICF). His work has been published in refereed academic journals such as Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Financial Services Research, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money. His research was covered by the Wall Street Journal and VoxEU.He obtained his Ph.D and research master's degree (cum laude) in economics from CentER, Tilburg University, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Renmin University of China. He had been a junior research fellow at the European Banking Center (EBC), the Netherlands. Di holds visiting positions at London School of Economics, World Bank, and Rotterdam School of Management.
