The head office of the Bank of Finland is in the centre of Helsinki immediately behind the Lutheran Cathedral. The main building is located at Snellmaninaukio and the adjacent office building with the Bank of Finland auditorium is located at Rauhankatu 19.

Both buildings are easily accessible on foot or by tram. The closest metro station is Helsingin yliopisto/Helsingfors universitet (i.e. University of Helsinki).

We recommend you use public transport, as parking space is limited in the vicinity of the Bank and the Museum. There are places for a few cars on Senate Square, along with spaces for tourist coaches.

The Bank of Finland regularly organises events that are open to the public. There are no separate tours of the Bank’s facilities.

Seminars and meetings

A wide range of seminars for invited guests, including research seminars and conferences are arranged at the Bank. The seminars are normally held in the Bank of Finland auditorium located at Rauhankatu 19.

Those giving presentations should note that non-Bank external memories, i.e. USB sticks, are not allowed within the Bank’s technical environment and we therefore request that presentation material is sent in advance via email. Please make arrangements regarding any presentation methods well in advance. It is possible to connect visitors’ laptops to our projectors. There is a wireless network available.

Participants at meetings must first register and fill in a visitor form at the security reception in the entrance hall of the main building at Snellmaninaukio, unless other arrangements have been made.
