In 2022, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) conducts an assessment of the operation of Finland's financial system and the authorities responsible for financial stability under the FSAP (Financial Sector Assessment Program). The IMF conducts a regular FSAP assessment of countries whose financial system it has deemed to be systemically important. During their visit to Finland, IMF staff will meet financial stability authorities and market participants, for example representatives of banks and financial companies.

In early 2023, the IMF will publish its assessment of the stability of Finland's financial system, possible risks and regulatory gaps as well as recommendations for reducing the risks and gaps. The last time the IMF conducted a similar assessment of Finland was in 2016.
