Phishing and fraudulent emails are currently circulating in the name of the Bank of Finland. Phishing links in these emails attempt to steal online banking codes or passwords.
The Bank of Finland is Finland’s national bank and does not provide payment services to private individuals. The Bank of Finland never sends emails to ask for payment, to notify of an incoming payment or ask a person to submit online banking codes or passwords. If you receive such an email, do not reply to it under any circumstances; simply delete it. Victims of such a fraudulent email are encouraged to contact the police.
