Bank of Finland

The Bank of Finland is the national monetary authority and central bank of Finland. It is also a part of the Eurosystem, which is responsible for monetary policy and other central bank tasks in the euro area. The Eurosystem administers use of the world’s second largest currency – the euro.

The primary objective of the Eurosystem and the Bank of Finland is price stability, which means making sure that inflation remains low. In addition to monetary policy, the Bank’s core tasks cover financial stability, financial statistics, banking operations and cash supply.
