Iina Lario appointed Head of Communications at Bank of Finland

Iina Lario M.Sc.(Pol.) has been appointed Head of Communications at the Bank of Finland. The appointment is for a five-year term.

“I am delighted to start as Head of Communications at the Bank of Finland. Communication and being available to the media are part of the work of each of our experts, as the analysis done here must serve society as a whole,” says Lario.

Lario has worked as Head of Stakeholder Engagement and in other communications expert positions at the Bank of Finland since 2008. She has also worked in the International Media Relations unit at the European Central Bank and in, among other things, the ECB’s Banking Supervision communications.

The tasks of the Bank of Finland’s Communications unit include communications planning, implementation and strategic development. The unit is responsible for the Bank of Finland’s publications, online services and social media channels. The Bank of Finland Museum and the Financial Literacy Centre operate in conjunction with the Communications unit. The Communications unit participates in the work of the Eurosystem Communications Committee and its subgroups.
