Antti Ripatti chosen as Adviser to the Parliamentary Supervisory Council
Professor Antti Ripatti has been selected for the role of Adviser to the Parliamentary Supervisory Council. As Adviser, his main responsibility will be to assist the Parliamentary Supervisory Council in dealing with relevant matters of monetary and economic policy. The Parliamentary Supervisory Council made the selection decision at its meeting of 26 August 2025.

Antti Ripatti has a social science doctorate, DSocSc. The subject of his doctoral dissertation was the demand for money in inflation-targeting monetary policy. At the University of Helsinki, Professor Ripatti is responsible for macroeconomic research and economics teaching.
The position of Adviser to the Parliamentary Supervisory Council is part-time and is for a fixed term up to spring 2027, when the present Parliamentary Supervisory Council’s term ends.
