Financial Stability and Statistics

The Financial Stability and Statistics department monitors and analyses the condition of the financial markets and the financial system as well as systemic risks and prepares measures to sustain and develop a stable and efficient financial system and financial intermediation both within Finland and internationally. The department also takes care of statistical output and the development of statistical analysis for those statistics that fall within the responsibility of the Bank of Finland.

Financial Stability

The responsibilities of the Financial Stability Division include monitoring, analysis and risk assessment of entities, markets and situations that have an impact on financial stability domestically and internationally. It is also responsible for conducting preparatory work on regulatory and policy measures, especially concerning macroprudential policy, that are intended for maintaining and developing a stable and efficient financial system.

Financial Statistics

The Financial Statistics division is responsible for the collection of data needed for the compilation of financial statistics, register work and the quality control and analysis of unit-specific data.

Statistical Analysis and Information Services

The Statistical Analysis and Information Services division is responsible for the publication of statistical information and its submission to international organisations, and also for information services and the development of statistical information systems.
