The objective of the Statistics unit is to produce data on Finland for euro area financial statistics, in accordance with the statistical requirements of the European Central Bank. The data is used both for the preparation of monetary policy and for financial stability and macroeconomic analysis.
The Financial Statistics division is responsible for the collection of data needed for the compilation of financial statistics, register work and the quality control and analysis of unit-specific data.
The Head of Statistics of the Financial Statistics division is Elisabeth Flittner.
Statistical Analysis and Information Services
The Statistical Analysis and Information Services division is responsible for the publication of statistical information and its submission to international organisations, and also for information services and the development of statistical information systems.

The Macroprudential Analysis division is responsible, above all, for regular monitoring, analysis and risk assessment pertaining to the financial markets and institutions, and for the development of analytical tools.
