Securities statistics
The Bank of Finland collects statistical data from non-financial corporations, financial corporations, pension institutions and the central government on their securities assets and liabilities. The SAVE data collection covers significant securities investors whose data is not available through the Bank of Finland’s other financial-sector data collections.
The data are used in the European System of Central Banks’ (ESCB) Centralised Securities Database (CSDB), in securities holdings and issuance statistics, financial accounts and balance of payments statistics. In addition, the data are used for the performance of tasks of the ESCB and the Bank of Finland, such as the preparation of monetary policy, financial market monitoring and financial stability analysis. The Financial Supervisory Authority may use data relating to entities supervised by it.
