Deputy and acting governor
Marja Nykänen
Marja Nykänen is Deputy Governor of the Bank of Finland and is currently also Acting Governor. She has been a member of the Board of the Bank of Finland since 2017. Her areas of responsibility include domestic economic policy engagement, financial market issues, macroprudential policy, statistics, communication and legal affairs. She is also responsible for internal auditing and for the activities of the Management Group of the Bank of Finland Pension Fund.
Marja Nykänen is Chair of the Board of the Financial Supervisory Authority.
