In addition to research publications, the Bank of Finland publishes a variety of different studies and reports. These publications do not meet the criteria set to scientific research, but they cover topics which are important from the viewpoint of the central bank.
Expository studies (previously A Series) are pragmatic publications, which cover financial issues that are, for example, connected to Economic and Monetary Union and the integration of financial markets. Financial market reports cover the situation of financial markets twice a year. The Survey on Business Finances is issued annually. It is made in collaboration with the Confederation of Finnish Industries and the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. Main Indicators for the Finnish Economy comprises charts and tables on the different areas of the Finnish economy and is issued monthly.
